Itinerary
When you land at Kuala Namu International Airport, your tour guide will be there waiting for you. From there, we’ll drive about four hours to Parapat, a quiet town on the edge of Lake Toba. The road takes us through Pematang Siantar—the second-biggest city in North Sumatra—and endless rows of rubber and palm oil plantations. We’ll stop at the Patent Shop along the way so that you can pick up some local snacks like Teng Teng and Ting Ting. After lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll head into Parapat. Get your camera ready for a photo stop at the “I LOVE LAKE TOBA” landmark. After that, you can check in to your hotel and settle in before dinner, which will be served there. (Meals: Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, we’ll hop on a ferry and cruise across the clear waters of Lake Toba to Samosir Island—the world’s fifth-largest lake island and the heart of Batak Toba culture. The first stop is Tomok Village, where you’ll visit the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar. Then (for groups of at least 14 people) we’ll head to Ambarita Village, famous for its stone chairs and the historic execution site of King Siallagan. We'll return to Parapat for lunch, then drive about four hours to Berastagi. On the way, we’ll pause at Simarjarunjung—you can try the local ginger tea and fried bananas if you like (not included). Don’t miss the breathtaking views at Sipiso-piso Waterfall, a 110-meter drop with amazing scenery overlooking Lake Toba from the north side. Once we reach Berastagi, we’ll visit the Central Fruit Market. It’s a great chance to sample all kinds of tropical fruits, veggies, and flowers. Afterward, check in at your hotel and enjoy dinner on-site. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before stopping at the Shwedagon Pagoda Replica at Taman Lumbini. Then, we’ll drive about 2.5 hours back to Medan. Once we're there, you’ll have time to visit the Maimoon Palace, the Grand Mosque, and a Batik shop. We’ll grab lunch together, and in the afternoon, we'll take you to the airport for your flight home. You’ll leave Medan with some great memories. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch) *We recommend booking an evening or night flight on the last day to avoid missing your departure.*
