Itinerary
We’ll pick you up early in the morning in Jakarta, then head out toward Ujung Kulon. Stopping around Carita for breakfast at a local spot, you'll get some time to fuel up—it takes about two and a half hours to reach the park’s border. At 11 am, you’ll arrive and get ready for your first adventure. Hop on a boat and cruise over to Badul Island, where you can snorkel and soak in the island’s colorful coral reefs. Lunch is served on the boat as we sail on to Handeuleum Island, where you’ll spend the night. This place is tucked away, surrounded by forest and wetlands—a real escape from the usual crowds. You’ll dock at Handeuleum around 2 pm, check in at your lodge, and have some free time to relax. A little later, we head out to Cigenter River for a canoe trip into the heart of the rainforest. If you’re lucky, you might spot pythons, hornbills, crocodiles, and maybe even a rhino, though sightings are pretty rare. After the river, we’ll cruise to Peucang Island—it takes about two hours—and do some more snorkeling or beach exploring before settling in for the evening.
Peucang Island is a gem, with clear blue water, white sandy beaches, and pristine coral shores. You’ll have breakfast at 7 am, then get ready to cruise to Ci Bom for a trek through the jungle all the way to Ciramea Beach. This sand stretch is where turtles lay their eggs from June to September, so keep your eyes peeled. After the beach, we head to Tanjung Layar, a fascinating historical site from the 1800s, before returning to Ci Bom and making our way back to Peucang Island for lunch and some downtime. By 5 pm, we set out to Cidaon—a wild grazing area where you might see bantengs, wild pigs, monkeys, peafowl, and, if you’re really lucky, a Javan rhinoceros. Take in the scenery, catch the sunset on the jetty with coffee and snacks, then cruise back to Peucang Island for dinner.
Breakfast kicks off at 7 am. Then it's off to Karang Copong, where you’ll walk north through towering forest to reach a rocky archway and reef pools. Make your way up the bluff for sweeping views of the reef—a perfect spot for tropical photos. Afterward, the group will cruise to Citerjun, tucked northeast on the mainland. Here, you’ll find calcified terraces and stalactites, the leftovers of ancient formations wrecked by Krakatoa’s tidal waves back in 1883. Once you've explored, climb aboard for the boat ride back to Muara Baru—which takes about three hours. We'll drop you off in Jakarta at around 1 pm. That wraps up the adventure—hope you had a blast!
