We’ll start by picking you up right at your hotel or the Yogyakarta train station.
No need to worry about finding your way—just relax and get ready for the day ahead. Once you’re settled in, we’ll head out on a scenic drive to Borobudur Temple. It takes less than an hour and a half, just enough time to soak in the countryside before you arrive.

When we get to the temple complex, we’ll help you with re-registration and make sure all the security stuff is handled, so you don’t have to stress. Then, you’ll hop on a shuttle that takes you straight to the main entrance.

Borobudur Entrance
At the entrance, you’ll get a special pair of upanat sandals—these are for climbing the temple steps. You’ll also meet your local guide, who knows the place inside and out.
1 hour :
Borobudur Guided Tour
They’ll walk with you all the way to the top, sharing stories and pointing out details you might otherwise miss. Your guide will lead you on a tour along the temple’s pathways, showing you the incredible carvings and explaining their history and meaning. There’s so much to take in—you’ll probably want to ask questions or just pause to let it all sink in.

Explore Around Borobudur
After the guided part, you’ll have some free time to wander around, snap photos, and just enjoy being there. It’s a place that sticks with you.

Return to the parking lot.
When you’re ready, you’ll head back to the parking lot, where your driver will be waiting.

Next, we’ll make a quick stop at Pawon Temple.
It’s not as big as Borobudur, but it’s full of character and history. Take your time exploring and grab a few more photos.

Then, it’s on to Mendut Temple, another gem linked to Borobudur.
You’ll have about 25 minutes here—enough to walk around, check out the ancient architecture, and add to your collection of memories.

On the way back to Yogyakarta, just let us know if you want to stop for lunch.
The drive takes about an hour and a half, giving you some time to relax and think back on everything you’ve seen. - When’s the best time to visit Borobudur Temple? You can head out from your hotel or from the train station in Yogyakarta any time between 6:30 AM and 1:30 PM (Tuesday to Sunday). Your day, your call.
- Wear something comfortable for walking, including good shoes.
- Every tour is private, and we’ll pick you up and drop you off anywhere in Yogyakarta City. If you want to start or end your trip in another city, just let us know — we can arrange that too.
- We offer pickup and drop-off at hotels or train stations in Yogyakarta, no problem.
- Need a ride to or from Yogyakarta International Airport, or outside the city? That’s totally possible, but it’s an extra service.
- Money stuff: You’ll need to carry some Indonesian Rupiah (Rp/IDR). Credit cards work at most hotels and city restaurants, but smaller places and rural spots usually take cash only. So, make sure you’ve got valid Rupiah on hand.
- Hungry along the way? You can stop for meals whenever you like. Our drivers know all the best local dishes and are happy to make suggestions. Just a heads up — meals aren’t included in the tour price.
