Itinerary
• 6:00–9:00 AM: We’ll pick you up from your Medan hotel or Kualanamu Airport • Then hit the road for a scenic drive past Binjai and through stretches of rubber and palm oil plantations. Watch the countryside wake up as you go. • 9:00 AM–12:00 PM: Meet your local guide and step into the jungle. • Keep your eyes open—you’ll search for wild orangutans swinging in the trees, gibbons calling in the distance, and maybe even catch a glimpse of Thomas’s leaf monkeys. • 1:00–2:00 PM: Back to Bukit Lawang via the Bahorok River. • Head back to Bukit Lawang village; you can keep exploring on foot or, if you crave adventure, hop on a white-water raft for an exciting ride back down the river. • 2:00–3:00 PM: Feast lunch at a local. • Take a break right in the local of Bukit Lawang with a packed Indonesian lunch, surrounded by the sounds of nature. • 3:00–6:00 PM: Back to Medan. • Prepare and enjoy a scenic drive back to Medan.
