Getting Ready: Sunrise Tour from Surabaya or Malang to Bromo
So, you’re heading out for that epic Bromo sunrise? Awesome choice. Here’s what you need to know to make your trip smooth and memorable.
- First off, sort out your ride before the big day. Book a private car or hop on a shared shuttle—just don’t wait until you’re half-asleep at 2 a.m. to figure it out. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later.
- Bromo at dawn gets seriously cold. Layer up with a warm jacket, maybe toss in some gloves and a scarf. You’ll want to stay cozy while you wait for the sun to peek over the horizon.
- You’ll be walking and hiking a bit, so wear shoes that don’t hate your feet. Comfort beats fashion out there.
- Don’t even think about leaving your camera behind. The sunrise and those otherworldly volcano views are unreal. Charge your batteries the night before and bring extra memory cards—there’s always that one person who runs out of space right when it matters.
- Cash is your friend out here. Some spots don’t have ATMs, and you’ll want some money for food or maybe a souvenir or two.
- Snacks and water? Pack them. You’ll get hungry (or at least snacky), and it’s a long morning.
- Check the weather before you head out. If rain’s in the forecast, toss in a rain jacket or an umbrella just in case. Nothing ruins a sunrise like being soaked.
- Most important: show up with an open mind and just soak it all in. Bromo at sunrise is pure magic. Relax, take a breath, and enjoy every second.
