- We’re super flexible with payment. You can pay with cash, credit card, bank transfer, or PayPal—whatever works for you. We accept cash in all sorts of currencies: USD, IDR, EUR, GBP, CNY, SGD, and a few others. Just make sure the bills are in good shape.
- If you’re staying in Yogyakarta City, we’ll pick you up and drop you off at your hotel or the train station—no extra charge. Need a ride from outside the city or the airport? We can do that too, but it’ll cost a little extra.
- Our drivers speak English and love sharing stories about Javanese and Indonesian culture. They can give you tips about local spots and traditions while you travel. But here’s the thing: drivers can’t go inside the temples with you. If you want the full history, you can hire a local guide right at the temple or add one to your booking in advance. Some tours already include a guide, so double-check what’s included before you go.
- Hungry? No problem. You can stop for meals whenever you like, and our drivers always have great recommendations for local food. Just remember, meals aren’t covered in the tour price.
What time does the tour start and end?
We kick off bright and early—the tour starts between 3:45 and 4:45 AM, and we usually wrap up around 4:30 PM. Times can shift a bit if there’s traffic or unexpected delays, so keep that in mind.
Are all entrance fees included in the tour price?
Yep, everything’s covered. Your ticket includes entrance to Borobudur Temple, Setumbu Hill, the Merapi Lava Tour, and Prambanan Temple.
Are breakfast and lunch provided during the tour?
You’ll get breakfast up on Setumbu Hill, but lunch isn’t included. Don’t worry, though—we’ll stop at a local restaurant where you can grab something to eat if you want.
Do I need to bring anything for the tour?
Wear comfy shoes because there’s a good bit of walking, especially for the sunrise hike and exploring the temples. Sunscreen and a hat help a lot. You might want to bring some extra snacks and water, even though we’ll have bottled water for you.
How do I secure a spot for the Borobudur Temple climb?
Only 1,200 people can climb Borobudur Temple each day, so booking ahead is the way to go, especially during busy seasons. Once you book the tour, we’ll handle the climb reservation for you. You just show up ready for the adventure.
