Jomblang Cave sits out in Gunung Kidul, a couple hours away. It’s a good drive—plenty of time to wake up and get excited.

9:00 AM :

We pull up to Jomblang Cave.

You’ll meet your guide right away—a real pro who’s been down here a hundred times. They’ll run through what to expect and how to stay safe. You’ll gear up, and the real adventure begins.

9:30 AM :

Harness on. Heart pounding a little.

You’ll rappel 60 meters down into the mouth of the cave, and the world changes in an instant—cool air, echoes, shafts of light cutting through the darkness. The guide leads the way, sharing wild stories and pointing out rock formations that look like something from another planet.

10:00 AM :
